Yah, put them up on the photo archive, but would be good to have a few photos of the event on the website along with some words. Is summit I'd like to do after each event now.

Hey, I don't suppose anyone picked up a long thin grey remote control from Jason A's cabin on the Sunday...? We left the remote for our dvd player there. Doh!

It may still be there - we might have assumed it was the remote for the TV and left it there. Call Rebecca on 01766 540219, explain to her and ask if she could check cabin 354.

Bugger me it’s Thursday evening! I’ve been wanting to write this since first thing Monday morning but I’ve been so busy. A truly massive Wahey and an even bigger thank you to everyone involved in the Traws event. Huge thanks to the Rounds and their stalwart straw bales efforts – where would be without them? Equally huge thanks to all those poor buggers who stood around in the cold and/or wet making the event happen but not actually riding. Thanks to Saft and Boneless and all those responsible for setting up all the equipment for the “film night” on Saturday – that was just wonderful and isn’t that Chamrousse film brilliant? I am SO gagging for a copy of that! Thanks to Graeme for passively inspiring me to ride on Sunday by showing no hesitation of doing so himself! There’s a very nice write-up at www.ukgsa.org/Events/2006/Traws1/index.htm . Thanks to whoever did that, although I think it was Joel, wasn’t it? To all those responsible for making these events happen – I know the situation isn’t perfect but at the end of the day you are achieving great things – these events actually take place! They happen! Thanks to you we now have a multi-venue championship to pursue, so I think it’s worth putting up with any current adversities and to keep plugging away. No disrespect to Ding and Gurston, but I’m sure we don’t all want to go back to the days of having only Gurston to ride at. And as for Traws - that hill is bloody brilliant! I can’t wait to go back there at a time of year when the weather’s better. The hill alone is superb, but what about the supporting infrastructure? I mean things like that holiday village a mile away with it’s cheap but very nice accommodation and a decent pub on-site! Is there any restriction on how often we can hold events there? If not, I think we should milk it – I reckon we should go back there twice more this year and at least once more. Looking at the events calendar, I know we’re leaving July alone as all the European stuff is happening that month, but we’ve also got nothing in August. How about going back to Traws in August? If it’s too hot we can take a dip in the stream at the bottom of the hill! I’m dying to go back there for an organised race – so how about August? If it’s too dangerous for stand-up to race then fine, the Luges can race, the stand-up guys can freeride. By the way, I remember seeing two or three cameras per run - where are all the photos!? So, new chant: “Race at Traws, race at Traws, race at Traws” (repeat).

BTW don't bother taking the road from Chalkies Corner towards Bala as a "shortcut" - it took me over half-an-hour, rarely getting above 20mph, dodging errant farmer's landrovers and opening & shutting half-a-dozen gates I am SO glad I wasn't the only one! My GPS told me to go that way and it was SUCH a b*stard! Under normal circumstances it would have been a fascinating drive through beautiful scenery but I SO wasn't in the mood for that! I was still in wet leathers just wanting to get to a service station where I could get changed and dry, but I had to keep jumping out of the car to open and shut gates and at one point I got stuck on the edge of a ditch from trying to move over far enough to let someone pass in the opposite direction. They buggered off and I thought I was going to be stranded. I had to physically push the car off of where it was stuck and it was only anger at the situation that finally gave me the strength to do so! It took me 4 1/2 hours to get to Traws and 5 1/2 to get home! Grrrrrrrr!

Good effort! However beaten by our 4 hours there, 8 hours home with The AA man! We only got half an hour down the road before Graham's Mondeo gave up! Then had to sit in a dogging car park for two hours This is my first post! Hello Everyone!

Thanks for your marshalling efforts, much apreciated.

Unfortunately all the electrics had failed so we couldn't respond to their flashes and find out the details!
