Yah, the Fifty is not cheap, but then it's about the same us the SSSprint membership, and you will save a LOT of money later by joining. And remember, the UKGSA is Non-Profit making, so every penny goes towards putting on races and building up club equipment.
There is an old video. I'll try and put it up soon. It's a really good hill, great fun to blat down in a big pack.

Is it the plan that if it goes well, there'll be a race there later in the year, just like Scammonden last year?

Thats right. We also have the full support of the North Wales Police, who want to promote it to the local "Yoof" as a part of their development scheme, so that is great!

So we might even get some local sheep-shaggers participating in future events. Anything to bump up numbers. I wonder if any of them will claim to be the only gay in their respective village?

Talking of villages. Trawsfynydd is great. They look at you weird when you talk English and I think they use a barter system. Only kidding, very friendly people.
There is a legendry greasy spoon there where we used to go for a full english (welsh?) breakfast. Just don't look at their fingernails! Hopefully it will still be open. A good slap up breakie really sets you up for a good days riding in the valleys, especilly at this time of year.

A dude is doing academic research into sex with sheep and decides to look at a world wide sample. He travels to a remote Scottish farm and asks the farmer how he shags his sheep. The Scot remarks how he likes to back his sheep up against a cliff edge at remarks on how the love is deservedly good loving. The dude travels to Wales and finds another lonely farmer, the farmer tells how he places the sheep against a cliff edge and waits for the fun to start as the sheep tries to back away from the edge. The dude finds the same technique in Australia and New Zealand in fact everywhere sheep are farmed and loved the cliff edge technique is the bestest. The last farmer he visits is English and the dude asks the same question "how do you prefer your sheep loving?" The English farmer is in no doubt " i just flip em over on their back you see" The dude was confused why the farmer would do such a thing when its evident scientific studies have proved that all farmers enter their animals from the rear preferably at a cliff edge. The dude asks why he flips them over onto their backs.........the farmer says "Well you wouldnt be able to kiss them otherwise".............arf

Is anyone going to organise the log cabins? The larger ones are 3 bedrooms, so multiples of three of us ought to get together.

There is not gonna be any UKGSA organisation of cabins, so I suggest you get together with others to form a group. With 6 it works out about £15 a night, very good. The cabins are very spacious and comfy. I know some of them have Sky in them as well.
