D. I am not saying I'm not enjoying cartie racing, or there is anything wrong with any of the events only that the character of cartie racing has changed from being a hobby to a sport all be it without any official backing. If a group can organise a trip to compete in Spain I would love to go but like you it would have to be as a one off trip. I suppose my point is I would like to know where cartie racing is going as regards what to build. A cheap rough terrain cart for ScrewFix type events and/or an all out racer capable of winning on tracks like Border Bogies or Dalby Forrest? Certainly for me a lot of the fun was in the build because the suitability of the end result was unknown. Looking at all the graphs and discussions of recent posts I 'know' less now than I did when I first sat down and made a model for my first build. Managing the risk factor is all part of the fun and central to any decent build but going swimming in the knowledge there are three G.W. Sharks in the area is a step too far for me. Although the analogy is fairly close to some of the racing heats I have been in. ;D Perhaps that comment is a step too far as well but it is meant as a joke.
