Gave mine a test run, well a tow behind a car. Reached 65mph on the runway, let go of the rope and it handles like a dream, so do the brakes. Bring it on.

Blimey - sounds like you've dropped a bag of spanners into a cement mixer! Yes on the vid it is loud , i think it is because the camera is bolted straight to an aluminium panel I havent made the roofrack yet , My mate needed his welder back (how selfish ! LOL) we tow it on a rope to this hill as it is the road out of my village (and back up)

The roof rack is a success , two people can lift it on and off , though easier with three , the show went well , most of the visitors just dont get it " wheres the engine?" was the most asked question , and if they stuck around for the answer they seemed to like the idea , so now to plan taking it to the next event .

Any plans to actually race it I would love to , unfortunately i am working on a very tight budget , Border Bogie in Denholm would cost me £80 just in fuel if you then add entry and all the other stuff needed for a couple of days away it takes it way out of budget maybe next month

Everyone has gone realy quiet on the posting front. Considering the residents of Denholm are probably holding their breath waiting to see the wonderful creations that have been built over the winter I wondered how you are all getting on. I am doing my best not to tinker with our cartie anymore other than to put on a coat of polish and do a last minute strip down and relube the wheel bearings. I can't believe that it is actualy ready on time so presume I must have forgotten something! ;D Not done any testing so don't know if there will be enough tyre grip considering the extra weight of the new body but time will tell.

No cartie for me this year - this is what I'm racing at BB; It's moved on a little since this picture and I should be finishing it off tonight or tomorrow.

As usual, Team Rooket are cutting it fine - one or two mods turned out to be a stripdown re-build. Chassis paint should be dry to start rebuilding tonight. Both of us have a day off tomorrow, so hopefully should be closer to being ready for BB. Hopefully get some pics up before the weekend and update the website. See you all on Saturday.
And in the immortal words of Bart Simpson - "gravity is my co-pilot" (unless of course you are running a sidecar then you will have 2 co-pilots!!!)

I prefer Peter Griffin's "Now if you'll excuse me, I have some death to defy" myself.
