The International Gravity Sports Association (IGSA) is very pleased to announce an agreement has been reached to sanction United Kingdom Gravity Sports Association (UKGSA) events in 2005. Racers who compete in UKGSA events will now receive IGSA World Ranking Points. Their results will be counted in the IGSA World Rankings that determine the overall IGSA World Cup Champion. All events will be promoted on the IGSA’s website (www.gravity-sports.com) and will be part of the 2005 IGSA World Cup Series. UKGSA Regional level events are scheduled for April 17th and November 13th at Dalby Forest. The White Air Extreme Sports Festival slated for October, will be the UK Gravity Sports Championships and will award National level points. UKGSA Officials have left the door open to add more events to the schedule. The alliance will provide more opportunities for racers in the UK and Europe to compete in the IGSA World Cup Series. UKGSA events feature classes for Downhill Skateboarding, Street Luge, Classic Luge and Gravity Bike. Please visit the UKGSA’s official website (www.ukgsa.com) for more information on the UKGSA.

On the subject of IGSA. The final standings for the year are out! Ive jumped up to 52nd with Tom W high 40s and Hod just above him! The stand up lads have done a raspin job too, with the wookie and Muzzo in the high 30s I think!

Gurston isn't actually a part of the UKGSA callander. It is seperatly run as a SSSprint thing by Ding Boston. It has been going for about 15 years, but only races at Gurston, and only time trials for the series, not head-to-head (which is more fun).
This year for the UKGSA we have 3 event locations confirmed at the moment I believe. We also have another 2-4 on the verge of being confirmed. It is suprisingly hard to book and event location, especially in these early days. However as the UKGSA now has some very successfull events under it's belts, thus a track reckord and refferences it is becoming more possible. One step at a time, we are looking at the long-term as well as instant satisfaction.

Hi All, Yes it’s true the Ukgsa and the IGSA are looking forwards to working together this year. The benefits to all UK riders whether or not you compete on an international bases are great.
The committee of the Ukgsa has yet to discus the final points and vote regarding our affiliation. (Final decision will take place at the next meeting, which will be the AGM.)
The Ukgsa is and always has been committed to bringing a fully recognised race series to the UK and we stand on the verge of doing so.
I’m sure that all involved in UK gravity sports will agree that gaining the support of the leading international body can only help us brighten the future of gravity sports in the UK.
Please feel free to email us at info@ukgsa.com if you feel you have any constructive points regarding the planed affiliation with the IGSA.
Mikey (Ukgsa)

KKD,
The third location is still under wraps. We have premission to hold an event there and a date to do so.
We are now in the process of working out budgets, logistics and fesibility of the event
Hopefully we will be able to announce the fourth UKGSA race soon.
I hope you can understand why we won't tell people where it is. It's taken over two years to get this venue on side. so we are treading VERY VERY carefully.
Cheers,
Graham
