The Drumlanrig Gravity Grand Prix is an "all disciplines" gravity race in the delightful grounds of Drumlanrig Castle, near Dumfries. The course is approximately 1Km in length and has a a good mix of sharp and gentle turns. Typical top speeds will be around 45mph (see the speed profile for details). This is part of a much larger event - the Scottish AutoFest - which is being run on a not for profit basis to raise money for charity. In addition to the gravity racing there will be a range of attractions that will delight all the family and provide something to interest visitors of all ages. There will be free on-site camping for competitors. Entries open in the next few days.

We are bitterly disappointed to learn that the Scottish Autofest at Drumlanrig Castle planned for the end of this month will now not be going ahead, and consequently the Gravity Grand Prix has also been cancelled. All competitor entry fees will be refunded in full. The next (and final) race in the 2013 SCA Championship will be the Brechin Halloween Cartie Race on 19th October.
