hi guys. have started to strip a bmx frame down with the aim of making it a gravity racer. do you have any tips etc on getting the best results. and also how to make the protectors on rear wheel to stop my feet going in them,. thanks

Hello Have a look at the BIGBA website - aalmediascotland.co.uk/Bigba/Welcome.htmland the BIGBA Facebook Page and forum to get build specs we run here in the British Isles Flip the frame to increase the rake of the forks, get a good set of brakes and go from there...!

thanks for that. will have a look. i have a bmx frame. with disc brakes so hopefully a good start. have replaced handle bars with racing bike bars. its looking good. need to get brakes adjusted and a few other bits and i'll have to pop out for a test run

I build my first gravity bike in the autumn. I ve posted a description on the Bigba site. It was straightforward and a lot easier than building a cart. Whether or not it goes fast enough to win remains to be seen but it was so easy to build doing one or two a year wouldnt be hard and be bound to get good at it sooner or later. I m keeping my eyes peeled for some leathers now and looking forward to the new season.

I'd say think narrow, small and aero. something you can push off the line easily. You can sometimes find wheel covers on ebay but they don't always fit well. depends on your rim depth and the width of your hub.
