I now have a load of GRP Pecolit sheets, its made in Germany for the truck body builders making fridge vans etc and its ideal for making wheel covers, soapbox body work etc etc
Its 2mm thick single skin, white in colour shiny on one side matt on the other very strong and flexible easy to work with waterproof, I roughly cut out a 20" wheel cover today and for both sides it comes in at just under 500grams weight. A small cutting 17" X 34" is 720 grams.
I will do 9 circles (just in case you cut one wrong) 18" diameter to fit 20" wheels for £20 plus postage at cost ,or you can come and pick up no problem or arrange your own collection, or if you want bigger or whatever give me a call I have sheets 9' long and 5'wide, if you want a sample send me a couple of first class stamps and I will send you a wee bit. Plenty big enough for doing body work, whatever you want it will be loads cheaper than plywood or whatever else is in use.£25 for more than enough to do all your body work.Only thing I havent done is tried heating and moulding it but that will happen before end of the week,Factory in Germany told me it can be done with heat gun. I will be at Castle Forbes,Catterline,Aviemore maybe Denholm and can take there. Les 07786086488

Les, I would have had a couple of sheets off you, but I've just ordered some Correx. Will be interested to see the material when we come up to castle forbes.

The sheets are just Tickettyboo and I am certainly going to have a shot at some for wheel covers and if there is any left after Castle Forbes some for my new build. Certainly a lot easier than building in fiberglass although it would also be great stuff for building a mold.
