Eastbourne's been and gone (and I missed it ) so what's next...? Any other UKGSA events - Dalby, Scammo, Cadwell...? Or is it a year to the next Eastborne (could it be run more than once a year, perhaps as a free ride?)?

I've just made a start at updating the 2009 calendar. All I know about so far are some of the independent soapbox events, but I'll add others just as soon as I find about them. If anyone has any confirmed dates and details, post 'em on the forum. Cadwell is on again this year, but I don't know what is going to be there other than gbike and soapbox.

By the way, I heard from Stef! No Chamrousse next year but Pipay is almost certain to be on again in May. 4-day freeride, 6KM hill, absolute no-brainer. I'll be there with a shoal of Turtles.
For testimonials refer to Muzzo and Luke.

Well I referred to a "shoal" of Turtles due to the marine connotations, but apparently the correct collective term for a group of Turtles is in fact "a bale of Turtles". How apt! I hope I'm not digging a bale of Turtles out of the bales next year! Ah ha ha ha haaaaa! (STRAW bales? Geddit? Geddit?) I'll get me coat.

I thought it was a herd of turtles.
If nothing else it makes for an amusing spoonerism.

Wait about 11 months and you can run your new soapbox at Belchford, so start building - it always seems to take longer than you think (or tell your wife/significant other!).
