Anyone that knows me will know that they probably got me down for the wrong kind of 'standup'. ;D anyway, a chum has put the relevant clip here for download (50megs)...you'll see some familiar faces and I think its a really good peice. Not the usual crappy stuff with a useless presenter pokong fun...this was really well done. www.ukmet.net/stridey.wmvI think the main thing would be to get more 'freeride' events so people feel secure going racing at their own pace, and I was especially pleased when Scoot says to go as fast as you want.... I learnt that the racers really dont care what speed you go down, only that you are safe to yourself and others. I know I'll never be up with the fastest, but I tell you what, riding fast downhill is a confidence booster for the slalom I enjoy. And on that front there is a race at HOG HILL (where Helen beefed big time) a GS race on 26th October. NCDSA.com for details. h

Blue Peter is an iconic children's television program in Great Britain. Host Helen Skelton took up the challenge of first learning how to skateboard and then attempting to qualify for the GoFast! Speed Days IGSA World Cup race in Eastbourne. The entire 9.5 minute segment that also includes appearances by IGSA World #1 Ranked Scoot Smith (CAN) and IGSA British #1 Pete Connolly can be viewed at www.IGSAworldcup.com
