I would like to introduce myself. My name is Russell Naudé aka Lugeman. As you can see I am a street luger. A street luger from Cape Town, South Africa. I was checking out the net one day and came across our message board. I like the way you help each other and not keep all your racing secrets to your self. I would like to invite all of you to come and check out our web site and message board: www.sagra.co.za . Follow the links to get to the message board. Maybe I will see some of you next year. I am thinking of coming to your side of the world to compete in a race or two. Or maybe some of you might be interested in come to SA to race end of this year.

Hi Russell - welcome to our board! There aren't enough of us here in the UK to keep too many speed secrets from each other, so we share all the information we can to try and make our sport bigger and faster. Joel keeps a log of all the technical advice from this forum on his website - www.gravityking.co.uk, look in the workshop section. (Can't believe I just plugged Joel's site - duh! ) I've not been to SA for a few years now - I was there in 2002 I think, on a stunt show called Fear Factor that was being filmed all over Cape Town. I hooked up with Leander and he took me up to the Frienschoek pass (Is that spelling right?), which was a superb road - one of the best descents I've ridden. I hope to be out there for Hot Heels in December, but it all depends on money, time, and weather or not I'm still in one piece after a full season on the world cup tour this summer. You should try and get out to some of the European events this summer, they are all on consecutive weekends so it'll make a good roadtrip with plenty of riding. Also, we are holding our biggest race here in the UK at Eastbourne on the 1st & 2nd September, and there will be prize money up for grabs... (That usually grabs some S.A. attention ) Hope to see you on a hill sometime. Ride hard, stay safe. Tom W.
