Is there any one that can help me find some one that knows where I can get info on gravity bikes? I’m building one to get more time on the hills and would really appreciate any help or info on what kind of brakes to use. The gravitybike.com is of line and I cant find any other forums to ask about g-bikes. Please help.

Hi Andreas,
Info is a bit scarce at the moment, it has to be said.... Where on the planet are you? Here in the UK most riders are using v-brakes, taken right off a mountainbike. If your mounts on 20" forks are in the wrong place, or there aren't any, then the only options are to weld some on or (with less engineering integrity) attach some pre-constructed ones. They come on a horse-shoe shaped bracket that can be jubillee clipped in place. Don't get too het up about buying top of the range v-brakes, as long as they're not bargain basement, they'll be fine. Just make sure you get them aligned correctly and check that alignment after each run! Otherwise the dreaded blow-out monster will be paying a visit.....

There is a construction report on the Doctor Danger website: www.doctordanger.com/projects/GravityBikes.HTMas you can see, they have used the V-Brake adaptors that Ian mentioned above. Do not bother with the flipped frame though, it just doesn't work without making more modifications to the forks. Joel
