Was good to see you and your new board longy, very nicely made and looked more effective than in the photos. It was really flying, litteraly at one point, it will be good to race you next season.

Joel It did didnt it! I felt the whole luge just gather speed on the second half of the course and had a decision to either go for it or brake before the last corner. In any case i just went with the flow, Yourself, Len, Ben Jason and Graeme really flew down the road. I was feeling a bit fragile first thing and wasnt really bothered to ride but sitting on the marshall point and gabbling into the radio watching everybody zip past got my gravity blood flowing. I felt itchy and ready for it and figured it was time to either put up or shut up. So inspiration was the key word here, you all blasted down there and i wanted to as well. I tucked as well as i could through the last corner and figured i could hold the speed right to the finish. Last year i was braking and stopping either just after or before the speed hump but i knew that this time i wouldnt be stopping anywhere near it, too fast. I hit the hump at full whack and flew into the air a little and got a bit sketchy on landing ending up skewed on the luge and eventually came to a stop a few yards down the track. Giggles, absolute fun but also bloody scary. As an afterthought the luge made all the speed but i had been practicing a tuck after watching everybody elses technique become a lot tidier after your Europe travels this year. Excellent fun!!
