What is the ideal for ground clearance on a luge? Is it going to be a problem if i have my luge at a slight angle from the horizontal?

Mine's about 10cm at the rear and about 6 cm front, seems to work ok.

Mines about 2-3cm front and back. It bottoms out sometimes but not at places like gurston! Your luge looked pretty horizontal on sunday, but cant see a problem with either front or back being clear aslong as you have enough ground clearence overall!

your centre of gravity is one of the many things that affects how responsive your luge is. A high centre of gravity makes the board turn quickly, but also twitchy. A low centre of gravity makes the luge more stable, but less responsive.
I rekon the best place for your ass to be is level with where the king pin meets the hanger, basically the steering pivot pint. however i expect that a few centimeters either way wont make a jot of difference.
