I think could build a better one, he's kind of got far too techy and cut outy with it. I reckon i could build an s camber drop down that would get a lot lower than that. What was the rules on minimum height of a butt board and who asked me about S camber butt board decks? I feel a few builds coming on.

The min ground clearance on a buttboard is 8cm, width 30cm and length 120cm. Would be nice to see what you can turn out.

Oh yes, since this is actually a post about Chaput's board:
Since there didn't seem to be any rules about how you ride the board why didn't he just lie down and ride luge style?

Joel I think it was an attempt to provoke Amerikan riders into a debate about the argument whether or not touching a knee down on the deck during stand up constitutes "proper" stand up. Debate equals "forum inches" where abec 11 gets mentioned a lot without Chipbutty selling his soul to the internet gods. If anybody wants to check out an s camber hella cave buttboard i'll build one up....send cash (about twenty quid) so i can order some wood from Lush.

Yeah, I'm with Longy - Typical Chaput trying to stir it up again.
I can't agree with chaput's "My helmet was too heavy, so I built a kneel board" excuse. I sounds very hollow from a guy who has been riding standup for years and years, and presumeably had to ride motorcycle hats just like everybody else, until this more recent spate of full face skydiving / paragliding helmets became available. It has nothing to do with the hat, it's just a stunt to get people talking about Abec wheels. Frankly, having read his post, I'm left with a very strong urge to go out and buy myself a set of Manxs...
Stand up is stand up. Stand up and be counted.
Ride hard, stay safe.

Whoa! Ive just read the responses to Chris's post! People didnt like him did they & it was understandable but sommat should have been put in the rules. You cant just persume that some clever d*ck aint gonna just come along and take advantage of slack rules just because he can and he feels like being an arsehole that day!
