As there is a world shortage of these desireable items, can anyone suggest a competitive alternative? I've considered mounting 3 pairs of 180 RII's but am not sure the axle width or mounting plate angles are "up to the job" on a 6 wheel luge set-up. Can you guys shed a little light? Bear in mind I'm 15st+

Randal 180s are famous for misaligned baseplate holes, none straight axles and the end of the aluminium hanger body not being perpendicular to the axle. Quality control is not good, and it seems to be because they needed to retool their whole production setup a while back, but have kept going instead.
There are people who will fit decent, true 8mm axles to them though, which will make them better. As long as you are OK with the baseplates this should make them fine.
Personally I would probably just use them as they are, then spend a bit more if there is a real problem. (but i'm only about 12st)

I have got three R180's on my luge and I am sure they are not straight, but then again neither is the luge so I work on the premise that sometimes they cancel each other out and at other times I have to lean harder! To be honest that could be the reason why my times at Dalby were dog slow, but then again it might purely be down to the rider!!!!! I have never had any other real problems with them and they have taken some abuse, and I am 15 stone
