I have been working on many proto-type designs for a new buttboard now and have come up with what I think is the best , the only problem is that it is dropped by 2 cm from the truck level!!! If I was to add 2cm raze plates could I still ride it in the buttboard class? As many of you may know at the moment I ride a very much traditional board (it’s just a rectangle basically) and was wondering if it would be possible to stretch the rules a bit? I wanted to know as I am going to produce a jig to make multiple numbers also I am going to use 15times 1.5 mm birch ply (Because of its flexibility, but the one problem with this is that it would cost about £35-40 just for the wood for one board!! any suggestions??)

Hey Dez, I just looked at the rules and regs from the I.G.S.A. and the only thing I can see that is relavent to drop through trucks is the min. ride hight. The rules state the the min ride height (inculding rials and stiffeners) is 8cm from the ground (min ride height exludes trucks and truck mounting hardware). So I guess that as long as the lowest part on the deck is 8cm or higher then you will be with in the rules. Hope that helps. See you soon
