The Drumlanrig Gravity Grand Prix is an "all disciplines" gravity race in the delightful grounds of Drumlanrig Castle, near Dumfries. The course is approximately 1Km in length and has a a good mix of sharp and gentle turns. Typical top speeds will be around 45mph (see the speed profile for details). This is part of a much larger event - the Scottish AutoFest - which is being run on a not for profit basis to raise money for charity. In addition to the gravity racing there will be a range of attractions that will delight all the family and provide something to interest visitors of all ages. The entry fee is just £35 for two days of racing, and this includes free on-site camping for competitors. There are two classes of cartie - unfaired "roadsters" and full or partially faired "streamliners", and gravity bikes, gravity sidecars, luge, drift trike etc are all welcome. Details and entry forms available here.
