I have been working on many proto-type designs for a new buttboard now and have come up with what I think is the best , the only problem is that it is dropped by 2 cm from the truck level!!! If I was to add 2cm raze plates could I still ride it in the buttboard class? As many of you may know at the moment I ride a very much traditional board (it’s just a rectangle basically) and was wondering if it would be possible to stretch the rules a bit? I wanted to know as I am going to produce a jig to make multiple numbers also I am going to use 15times 1.5 mm birch ply (Because of its flexibility, but the one problem with this is that it would cost about £35-40 just for the wood for one board!! any suggestions??)

Hi there Rules are that there must be 8cm of clearence including grip rails, but not trucks and mountings. If it meets this then it is OK. Go to www.gravity-sports.com for the full IGSA rules and regs. Joel
