In European Championships there is a nice C5 sidecar class ( veeery fast, with times just a couple of seconds slower than the C4 soapbox class )

FISD rulebook
Applicable since 2008
C5 class - Side car
1. Definition
Sidecar is a three wheeled vehicel composed of a bike plus a plate. It's driven by a pilot and a co-pilot. Steering is made through a handelbar. Independent wheel suspensions allowed.
2. Dimensions
Maximum lenght: 2500 mm ( without towing points )
Maximum width: 1200 mm.
Minimum wheelbase: 700 mm ( measured from head tube center to the lateral wheel )
3. Weight
Maximum weight: 100 Kh ( vehicle only )
4. Wheels
Free choice. Maximum diameter with inflated tires is 500 mm.
5. Brakes
Effective brakes acting on at least two wheels and activated by pilote's hand or feet are compulsory. Ground brakes forbidden.
6. Specific equipment
Full motorbike leathers with internal protections or equivalent equipment is compulsory.
7. Security
Solid handels in bike and lateral plate for copilot safety during turns are compulsory. Handelbar must be foam covered to protect pilot chin. Pilot and copilot must have protected knees and elbows. It's forbidden to change pilot and copilot functions during downhill. Lateral plate wheel must be fully covered and back wheel must be protected. Fairings are only allowed in the front part and it can't cover pilot's body.
8. Race numbers.
Three race numbers: One in front part, one in the chronometers side ( determined during technical inspection ) and another one in the back part.
9. Starting position
Layd position in the start. A marshall will verify this point.
10. Sanctions
Non respecting this rulebook will irrevocabily exclude rider from any FISD sanctioned event.
