Now it's naked and upside down! Actually it's leaning against the beer fridge. New kneeler shells I've just glued on the kneeler shells after cutting and fitting the 30mm cardboard. Don't worry I've done this a few times before. This is my fix to twisting frames. All my trikes are built with a cardboard core then glassed over. I don't know why it is but they all handle nice. I think it has to do with the flexural rate of the finished structure. Ignore the handle bars I'm not going there. Oh and if your wondering why I did this, I tired of having to re-straighten the frame after every ride.........trikes

Definately a 'works in progress' There's changes to the rake (including tougher forks), 1" threadless steering, fairing, front aero guard, new thicker start bars (now removable and separate from the front fairing) and further back the leg recess's are done (bit hard to see cause the bog is the same colour) and the kneelers are finished for now. Continuing further back there is the fairing part for the rear race number. Look closely you'll notice there is no lower bracing to form the rear triangle. Instead the part that holds the race # joins the seat and becomes a stress member. And the wheel base has gone out 49" because of the 5 degree rake increase......also more aero tricky bits to come...............trikes

Well here it is. Alaa Composite Gravity Bike. Fabricated unfinished and severely tested. The weight bias has changed some what from the first pic with me on board. I have also partially fabricated an aero front end for use if the competition is a bit close utilising the old pink nose cone and flat (pink) bars with the three spoke front wheel and a set of close hugging aero forks which are tiny in comparison with these h/d forks. In testing the aero front end is worth a minimum of 5kmh. I'll post pics a little later of the aero front end. This bike with rider aboard has a substantially reduced drag tail because of the inline feet position. So I'm a bit pissed off with the fact I got the bias so wrong Anyway I'll finish it off and take it Bathusrt and try to sell it off. Then I'll build another now that I know where I went wrong. We live and learn (well I do - mostly) ........trikes

My latest bike with the tuck developed in my 'tunnel'. The bike was originally built by fastEddie from the USA. I've modded it quite heavily since then. Have no illusions this is a quick bike with good manners. In this pic you can see the new kneelers under development. Good, real good Click on pic to enlarge.............trikes

Hey guys I've built up a Gravity Bike so our group has a 'loaner bike' for any newbies that come along. This didn't cost much to put together as most of the stuff I either had laying around or it was donated to the cause. So I had first ride on this today and it was real nice. By trikesrule, shot with KODAK EASYSHARE C300 DIGITAL CAMERA at 2008-11-29 It was part of the tyre testing I did today too and the results were quite interesting (see Gravity Bike tyre testing). So the frame is Huffy Chopper. Forks were on my composite bike at Bathurst. Vee Brakes up front and side pull out back with Tectro pads on the front and Slimline Allweather pads out back. The kneeler plates are off my chrome bike when I got it from Fast Eddie USA. I glued some closed cell foam blocks on. They are plenty squashy so should suit a lot of different people. By trikesrule, shot with KODAK EASYSHARE C300 DIGITAL CAMERA at 2008-11-29 The chrome bike is my usual ride. So we'll get a donor paint job from somewhere then throw some club stickers on it, hunt some foot pegs up and that'll do. The wide drop bars make it easy for anyone to ride. I'll have to hunt a set of foot pegs to make it legal to race. We have some big meetings on here next year..........trikes
