Hi everyone ;D Not sure how long it'll be before this get spammed to death , but UKGSA Annual General Meeting to be held at Brooklands on Saturday 26th April 2008 Not sure what time we'll kick off, but will post up somewhere on the forum (anti-spam chaff in full effect) to let you know once I do The Formula Gravity chaps are having a build day and it makes sense to work alongside and meet up at the same time. The more the merrirer. We need new ideas and new faces! Feel free to say if you're gonna attend, it'll encourage others to do so too Later, Ian Round UKGSA Secretary PS still pulling my hair out about the spam!

Right. I have the loggin stuff, and Joel has cleared up some of the spam Kick off for the AGM will be 11am, but stuff will be happening from 10am , so getting there early would be cool. I'm no expert with web stuff, so any offers of help either to clean up the messageboard and/or manage the website would be fab, especially if you can make the meeting Hopefully we can move forward and dispell any perception that ukgsa is dead. Admittedly Eastbourne (and Gurston(s)) are the only luge/skate events happening at this stage, but it doesn't have to stay that way We've some stuff to address, mainly how we manage 3rd party liabillity in the future as we don't have sufficient funds to renew our current policy (expires 16th April). The messagebord has been made registered users only, so hopefully the spam will stop Right. Talk amongst yourselves and lets work our way out of the tumbleweed..... Ian

I'll be coming to the AGM - Anybody else?
The UKGSA is run by the riders, for the riders, so the AGM is your chance to have a say.
We are currently seeking:
- Web developers / Designers - Photographers - Administrators - Race organisers - Sponsors - Drivers - Marshals - Etc, etc...
We are an entirely voluntary not-for-profit organisation that exists purely from the goodwill, ability, and ambition of the kind people who give up their time to help run this show and put on more races in the UK.
So, if you have a skill that you think we could use, and are interested in becoming part of the UKGSA organisation, please do not hesitate to get in touch, or attend the AGM.
2007 was a turning point for the UKGSA, the year saw our members staging the first IGSA World Cup race in England, as well as breaking the Streetluge land-speed record.
2008 is looking even more promising, with a return of the GoFast Speed Days World Cup race, but such a huge event is really consuming our time and manpower which means that currently we don't have the resources to pursue and establish new regional race venues elsewhere in the UK.
So, we really need new people, new skills, and new ideas to bring back a sustainable regional race-series to the UK. We have the roads, all we need is the people and ambitions to get these races started again.
Please get involved - Come to the AGM!
Ride hard, Stay safe, GoFast!!!

Hey Ian r,
Do the forum followers get to know what happened at the AGM, can the minutes be posted for interested but absent members to read please. I'm sure even an abridged version would be appreciated as communication from the top has been sadly lacking this year.
