Seriously high quality hybrid ceramic bearings with Teflon seals. Ceramic bearings offer many advantages over steel. The balls are lighter so accelerate longer. They are also more resistant to heat so less prone to failure at high speeds. Ceramic balls resist corrosion so they last a lot longer. · ABEC 7 rated · Zirconia fibre Ceramic balls – these are solid ceramic, NOT ceramic-coated steel balls or ceramic filled like many other “ceramic” bearings · Nylon cage - high speed and self-lubricating · Teflon seals (removable) – non-contact (unlike most rubber seals) for higher speeds and better protection from dirt and other contamination Set of 8 bearings: Only £40, free postage These are possibly better quality than Bones Swiss Ceramics, which retail for £120 Emil me if you want a set: joeldking@hotmail.com Joel

yer i have been looking these as well, the i brought some crappy ones off the bay for like £9? this was yeeeears back even before i knew about orgonised racing and they were ceramic coated ones, and they cracked as the metal heated up and the ceramic did'nt!!
anyway am in need of new bearings all round, few of them have siezed. put me down for 4 sets and they're 3rd of the price of the swiss cermaics

Hmmm! Might be intersted in two sets! Just how good are they? I notice longboardshop.de do a set of ceramics rated abec 9 for roughly a similar price!

For a number of good reasons, Abec ratings are complete bullsh*t when applied to skateboarding - Ignore them.
The best things about ceramic bearings are:
1. They are very tolerant to getting wet. Ride them in the rain, and they will live to ride another day.
2. They will last longer (Provided you keep them clean and lubricated).
I rode pretty much the whole of last season on a bunch of alleged "Abec 5's" that I bought for £3.99 a set from Stridey. Didn't even clean them once (Not that I'd need to - sealed bearings keep themselves clean).
Results speak volumes gentlemen!
Ride hard, stay safe.

Yup, completly agree about ABEC ratings. A bearing rated ABEC5 might be much better 4 months down the line than one rated ABEC7. It's to do with their speed when new rather than the quality of their build.
These Ceramic ones are really nice quality and shold last a good long time. Ceramic balls don't corrode in the wet and are more resistant to high speed temps.
The teflon seals on these are far better than the standard rubber ones. They are zero-contact and are much better at keeping dirt out. I believe they are held in place by a metal C clip which can be removed for cleaning.
Pete E also uses ceramics, and they have lasted for AGES!
Come one come all, grab yourself some quality bling

Ceramic make me pee my pants , they are soooo fast , as a tester I tried them on one of my local hills and I managed to go a extra 50 meters than I would normally do on the end of where the run normally finishes , the downsider was that my set cost me £60.00 and I had delivery on that, the bearings spun for nearly 6 minutes , but beware they do get damaged easy if your gonna do slides

Lol Joel no no Me being the Tech guy over here and winning most (humble aren't I) things. If I turn up with something new you can bet at the next meeting others will have it to. When I'm scrutineering my wife tells me a lot of people check out my machines. I guess thats ok. At least bearings are a bit harder to see...........trikes
