Rich: It's darling Carol who wears the white helmet for team Alford so I don't fancy your chances next time she meets up with you my lad!

The ASS ( Alford Safety Suit)……..seemed like a good idea at the time. On further reflection..…and the possibility of being pursued & squashed…...perhaps not. ;D

I remember having a meeting at cadwell a few years back when we discussed afety and rules and one of the conclusions we came to was that we should allow longer carts in order to allow more crumple space to be added thus we decided on a length of 3m for cadwell but it seems like no-one else wants to adopt that. I belive the original reason for the max length was due to the spacing on the tow rope. If each team is providing their own bit of rope then is the max length still needed?

I was at the Cadwell meeting as well and remember coming away somewhat fed up with the result although can't really remember why. I think that was the year Peter Pope won and you came second Lee. On the Sunday the heavens opened and most of the Country disappeared under water and our hired van drowned as we got to Glasgow. Vowed never to return to Cadwell after that trip.
