Aye up boys and girls, had a test at the Annandale track early doors today (4 am) FFS!!!scary brilliant, speeds in the dry are well up on the estimates faster than aviemore. in the cart it's like driving off the side of a mountain picks up speed very quick then into fast left and you need the speed for the uphill. On the G bike its like watching the TT from last week got to have big bo**ocks to keep it flat out but you need the speed to get up the hill and lovely down the other side fast corners. I would think it will be a close call between the bikes and carts for fastest. the video doesent show the grass at the roadside is now 3 feet tall can't see very far ahead and your eyeline is only 24" off the ground, takes courage to turn in blind at 65 mph on slick tyres and makes the circuit feel very narrow. Anyone done any motorcycle racing in Ireland Dunrod, Carrogh ?feels just like that A real drivers/riders circuit plenty of very fast balsy corners be good to see who the real drivers and riders are.
Last run on the bike, track was now damp...ooohhhh silly boy should have been like the GP boys and packed up while I was ahead but hey ho...very slippery ran off the road a couple of times, wrote the fairing off, woke the pit crew up but the pet rabbit is vey happy its got some new mown grass and dandelions to eat for lunch
I will post up the data from the garmin when I work out how to do it and get a minute...see ya on the hill canna wait

Nice one Les !!! Since I drove the track in the car I can't wait to have a crack at Annandale in the cartie. I am sure it will be a great test of both drivers and carts.
Hope the damage isn't too bad. It would have been terrible to get the auld coo scratched.

Of course the "predicted" speeds are for a typical cartie. If you have a nice slick cartie you'll go faster, and if you've got a clunky old brick you'll go slower.

What speeds did you get? I'd be interested to see the GPX file.
